That Would Be A Dream. Hall Of Famer In Discussion For Major Summerslam Match.

She would certainly fit the criteria. We’re coming up on Summerslam and a lot of the title matches have already been set for the show. There are several slots left to fill though and one of them is the show’s dream match. You get one of these at most major shows and while nothing has been set in stone yet, there was a big hint dropped on this week’s SmackDown Live.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Trish Stratus is in talks to wrestle a match at this year’s Summerslam in her hometown of Toronto. While not yet confirmed, there is a chance that the match would be against Charlotte, who cut a promo on SmackDown Live, saying that she would be on the show against a bigger name than Ember Moon. Stratus, a WWE Hall of Famer, has wrestled a handful of matches since retiring from full time competition in 2006, with the most recent being a ten woman tag on the October 29, 2018 Monday Night Raw.

Opinion: This would certainly qualify as a dream match and I’ll take it over Charlotte fighting for the Women’s Title in another triple threat match. Charlotte is great and one of the best ever, but there are only so many times you can put her into the title scene and have it keep meaning anything. She just does not need to be in there for the time being and this match is much more appealing than anything else she could be doing.
