Two in one night! Title changes can mean a few different things for different people and it can be interesting to see what happens when someone new picks up a championship. It can mean even more when it is the first title change of someone’s career as they move up to the next level all at once. That was the case again this week, and it happened more than once on the same night.

Two first time champions were crowned this week during Night One of NXT Halloween Havoc. First up, Chase U defeated Tony D’Angelo and Stacks to become the new NXT Tag Team Champions. This marks the first title win for either of them in NXT and for the Chase U stable overall. Later, in the show’s main event, Becky Lynch lost the NXT Women’s Title to Lyra Valkyria. This was Valkyria’s first title of any kind in WWE.

Opinion: That is a huge pair of title changes and could make for some very different times in NXT. What matters is NXT is building up some new stars, including Valkyria, who beat one of the biggest women’s stars ever clean in the middle of the ring. That is how you make someone new and NXT did it incredibly well tonight, which should make things better going forward.
