That sounds important. At some point, every wrestler has to hang up their boots for good. It might not seem like something that will happen to everyone, but as the saying goes, Father Time is undefeated. No matter how good a wrestler may be, they are going to walk away at some point. That seems to be the case with a certain top WWE name, but it might not be happening as advertised.
There may never be a more popular or successful masked wrestler than Rey Mysterio. He has been around for over twenty five years now and is a multiple time WWE World Champion. His style revolutionized wrestling and has inspired countless wrestlers over the next generation. Mysterio will have to retire at some day as well and WWE is advertising it for next week. Hold on a second though.
WWE has announced that Seth Rollins will be hosting Mysterio’s retirement ceremony. This comes after Rollins attacked Mysterio two weeks ago on Monday Night Raw, causing him to move into retirement. Mysterio has not been seen since the attack, though Rollins has been carrying Mysterio’s mask and thanking Mysterio for causing Rollins’ career resurgence. There is no word on what Mysterio will announce next week.
UPDATE: @WWERollins will be the host of @reymysterio's retirement ceremony next week on #WWERaw. https://t.co/snaPg1RnHX

It does bring something to mind. Check out what happened to Mysterio and a similar sounding retirement:
Opinion: That explains a lot and I can’t say I’m surprised. Mysterio retiring is the kind of thing that you see happen at WrestleMania, not a random Monday Night Raw in June. To be fair though, I don’t know how much WWE was trying to make you believe in the retirement if they announce that Rollins is hosting the segment later in the same night. Odds are this sets up a Backlash match and that should work out just fine.
What do you think of the segment? How do you expect the likely Backlash match to go? Let us know in the comments below.
