That’s a big one. If you have been a WWE fan over the last five years or so, you are familiar with Roman Reigns and the mixed reactions that he receives from the audience. Reigns has been one of the most controversial figures in wrestling history as he is incredibly talented and WWE desperately wants him to be their next breakout star, but the fans do not seem to want to cheer WWE’s handpicked star. That might not be a problem for the time being though.

Like many other wrestlers, Reigns has not been around since the Coronavirus pandemic began. As a leukemia survivor and father to newborn twins, Reigns has not been willing to participate in WWE events due to health concerns. That is a completely understandable decision and one that several other wrestlers have made. It presents a problem to WWE though and now they are doing something about the situation.

According to Tom Colohue of Sportskeeda.com, WWE writers have been told to assume that Reigns will not be returning anytime soon. This does not mean that Reigns is in trouble with the company, but he is not expected to be back at the moment. There is no word on how long that will be and while Reigns is in no danger of being released, he will not be on WWE television for the time being. Reigns last appeared on the March 20 SmackDown.

Reigns is a force when he is around. Check out what he can do when he is in WWE:

Opinion: This is hardly a surprise as there is only so much that WWE can do while waiting on Reigns. It could be a very, very long time before Reigns is back and there is no reason to assume that it is going to be any shorter. Don’t waste time coming up with stories for him until you know that something is going to be taking place because there are a lot of other people in WWE would could use that attention and effort. There is nothing wrong with what Reigns is doing, but WWE would be better off waiting until he is back before investing more time in him.

What do you think of Reigns’ decision? What will he do when he gets back? Let us know in the comments below.
