THEM? Defunct Wrestling Promotion Making Surprise Return At Private Event

They’re back? There have been all kinds of wrestling promotions throughout history and some of them have not had the best success. On the other hand, there are promotions that are more infamous than anything else, which might not be the be best status to have. One such promotion has been out of action for a very long time but that seems to be changing in the near future.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: SmackDown Tag Team Returns After Four Month Absence But Things Are Not Going Well

Global Force Wrestling is being advertised for a private wrestling event at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tennessee on December 28. The promotion lasted from 2014-2018 and primarily ran live events, along with a television series that was only released through Impact Wrestling’s One Night Only series. There is no word on if this will be a one off event or the start of a return.

Opinion: I’m almost expecting this to be followed by an announcement that the whole thing was a mistake. Global Force Wrestling was an idea that seemed like it could have been interesting about ten years ago but it never really came close to working. I have no idea why this is happening or what it might mean in the future, but for now, it’s more of a weird headline than anything else.
