WATCH: Creepy Vignette Hints At Group Returning To SmackDown With New Partners

Recognize them? There have been all kinds of wrestlers throughout the history of WWE but not all of them can stick around all the time. Occasionally those stars will try their luck elsewhere, but some of them will return to the company later on in a different role. While not confirmed, we might be seeing that again in the near future, as a current star might be receiving some backup.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Maybe Next Time: WWE Makes Big Announcement Regarding December 29 SmackDown

This week on SmackDown, a Karrion Kross and Scarlett vignette aired, with both of them teasing bringing chaos to WWE. As Kross spoke, he used the word “authors”, which was followed by a shot of three shadowed men. This could suggest the return of the Authors of Pain and Paul Ellering, which follows reports that the team could be returning to WWE in the near future. It is NOT confirmed that this is the Authors’ return or that they will be back whatsoever.

Opinion: This would definitely be a big change of pace and, if this is where things are going, we could be in for quite the shakeup on SmackDown. Kross teaming with the three of them has the potential to change up all kinds of things on the show, assuming they are put together properly. For now though, the vignettes are interesting enough that I’m wanting to see where it goes, which means they are off to a good start.
