And now the fallout. The biggest story coming out of Elimination Chamber was the last story of the show, as the Miz cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase to become the new WWE Champion. This was quite the shakeup and now the question becomes where things go from here, as we are less than two months away from WrestleMania 37. There have already been some plans in place and now we know where they may be going next.
Miz had been busy prior to winning the title as he and John Morrison had been dealing with Bad Bunny and Damien Priest in recent weeks. Bunny had even slapped Miz earlier in the night before the cash in took place. This has seemed likely to set up something between the four of them at WrestleMania, but how much has changed now that Miz is the WWE Champion again?
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Miz/Morrison vs. Priest/Bunny is still the likely plan for WrestleMania 37, with Miz dropping the WWE Title beforehand. There is no word on what the WWE Title match at WrestleMania will be or when Miz will likely be losing the championship. Bunny and Priest are expected to be part of the reason for Miz to lose the title.
The match has been built up. Check out how we got to the tag match:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that you probably could have guessed on the way to WrestleMania but it could open up more than a few different doors. That could make for some interesting paths on the Road To WrestleMania and that makes things all the more exciting. Hopefully WWE picks the most interesting one, because there are some bad choices in there too.
