And then there were eight. One of the best stories WWE has had going on in the last few months has been the Cruiserweight Title Tournament. With fresh names being brought in and some great matches, the thing has made “205 Live” into some great television. Now that the first round is over, we’ve seen the full brackets and have carved the list of competitors down to eight.
This week on “205 Live”, Buddy Murphy and Mustafa Ali completed the quarterfinal field. The other six matches took place over the previous three weeks so we knew who would be moving forward in the tournament but didn’t know who they would be facing. That was changed tonight and here are the brackets with the finals taking place at “Wrestlemania XXXIV”:
Cedric Alexander vs. TJP
Roderick Strong vs. Kalisto
Mustafa Ali vs. Buddy Murphy
Drew Gulak vs. Mark Andrews
Here’s the reveal of the brackets:

Opinion: The tournament has been a lot of fun so far but it’s even better now that we have a field determined. We can now see who might be in the finals and potential matchups, which make for some entertaining discussions. If the rest of the tournament is as much fun as the first round has been, we’re in for a treat. The finals could be a great match if it’s done properly, which it very well may be.
