Countdown Is On: Several Former WWE World Champions’ Contracts Reportedly Expiring Next Year

Sign them up? There are all kinds of talented wrestlers on the WWE roster but at some point, some of them are going to leave for one reason or another. You never know when someone is going to head elsewhere, either to another promotion or into retirement, though now we do have a better idea of when some wrestlers might be able to leave and head somewhere else.

According to Fightful Select, sources believe that Sheamus’ current WWE deal is set to expire either in the first quarter or first half of 2024. There is no word on negotiations between the two sides on a new deal or if a new agreement has already been made. In addition, Drew McIntyre and Becky Lynch’s deals are said to expire at some point in WWE. There is no word on the progress of any deals for the two of them either.

Opinion: WWE would obviously want to keep all three of those stars, as Lynch is one of the biggest names in WWE at the moment, McIntyre is a WrestleMania main eventer and Sheamus is doing the best work of his career right now. If the three of them want to stick around, why in the world would you not want to have them out there for as long as they can do it?
