Get well soon. There are all kinds of injuries in wrestling and you never know when you are going to see someone get put on the shelf with some kind of physical ailment. Wrestling is a dangerous sport at its most basic level but there are styles that make it even more more hazardous. Unfortunately that was the case again this week, as a top international AEW star has been injured.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Getting There: Huge Update On Former AEW Champion Coming To WWE This Week

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo was in action over the weekend at the Ring Of Honor tapings. Vikingo attempted a dive but no one caught him, resulting in a crash to the floor. There were fears that Vikingo had suffered a broken hip but now it is hoped that it is only a deep bruise. There is no word on when Vikingo will return to the ring, though he is expected to miss time.

Vikingo is a different kind of star. Check out what he can do in the ring (and in the air):

Opinion: Vikingo is a special kind of talent and it is a shame that he is going to be on the shelf for the time being. AEW gets to showcase an international star and strengthen their ties to AAA while also showing some incredible athleticism. Hopefully he gets better sooner rather than later, as that sounds like an incredibly painful injury for anyone, as it could take some time to heal.

What do you think of Vikingo? Who would you like to see him face when he returns to the ring? Let us know in the comments below.
