Oh that won’t go over well. The Coronavirus has changed the way the wrestling world (and everything else) works in a major way. You can only do so many things like back in the normal days whether you are a fan or a wrestler, which has certainly been the case in WWE. NXT has suffered from multiple Coronavirus outbreaks and we know what caused the most recent.
NXT is a unique place in wrestling as it is a mixture of the WWE’s official developmental territory as well as being its own wrestling show. Not many promotions have had that double responsibility, but now things have become more complicated thanks to the various Coronavirus outbreaks. NXT is currently going through another and there may be a place to start.
According to PWInsider.com, the recent NXT Coronavirus outbreak was believed to have been started at a party thrown by an NXT wrestler. The party was attended by someone who was asymptomatic and the virus spread as a result. There are few further details on the situation, including who threw the party, who attended or when NXT training will continue. NXT is currently scheduled to present its next Takeover special on Sunday October 4.
NXT did fairly well anyway this week. Check out how the show went down:
Opinion: I’m not sure what NXT is going to do in the near future but at the same time, you can only expect so much when someone throws a party at this point. That is the kind of thing that has been advised against over the course of the pandemic and this is part of the reason why. This could mean a few different things in the near future but for now, it does not exactly look or sound good for anyone.
What does this mean for NXT? How are you expecting Takeover to look? Let us know in the comments below.
