That would explain a bit. One of the most exciting things to see in a wrestling promotion is a new debut. Someone gets to showcase their talents for the first time on a new stage and it can make or break their initial impression on the audience. That is the kind of thing that you only get to do once and a new AEW star’s chance did not go as planned. Now we know a bit more about why.

Earlier this month, Miro debuted for AEW in a surprise, being announced as Kip Sabian’s best man for his upcoming wedding. Miro would go on to team with Sabian for his in-ring debut in a win over Joey Janela and Sonny Kiss on this week’s edition of Dynamite. Something was not quite right though as the match was a bit sloppy. There is a reason why that was the case.

According to Wrestling Observer Live, Miro’s ankle injury during the match was legitimate, though it was not that bad. Miro’s injury was the reason the match went the way it did, as various moves were botched after the Miro hurt his ankle. The injury was not said to be severe and Miro is said to be fine after the match. There is no word on when Miro’s next match will take place.

He got your attention. Check out how things went:

Opinion: That would explain a bit, but at the same time it doesn’t fix the situation. The match really did not work out all that well and I’m not sure if all of that can be blamed on the injury. It wasn’t working for the most part and Miro wasn’t exactly presented as a monster. Hopefully things are adjusted a bit as having another match like that would not go well for him.
