So is that a yes or a no? The biggest story of the week has been Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman being named the new directors of SmackDown Live and Monday Night Raw. These names came out of nowhere and are an actual way of shaking things up in WWE. It also presented a lot of questions, including when things would be starting. As it turns out, WWE may not be clear on that either.
According to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, WWE has sent out emails featuring Heyman and Bischoff’s images for next week’s Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live. The emails talk about the shows being the first episodes under their control, but never says that the two will be appearing on the shows. At the latest WWE creative meeting, nothing specific was said about the two appearing on camera.
WWE has certainly confirmed that this is happening. Check out the official announcement:
Opinion: Leave it to WWE to seemingly have no idea what is going on at the moment with their biggest deal of the year. While the emails never say that the two are going to be there, it more than makes it seem to be the case. That is something done on purpose, but WWE better know what they have going on here, because I don’t know what else they could have to pick things up if it doesn’t work.
