UPDATE: According to Ryan Satin, this was part of a storyline and O’Reilly did not suffer a real medical emergency. He is believed to be fine.
From what I’m being told, Kyle O’Reilly did not suffer a real seizure after NXT tonight and did not suffer a medical episode. According to WWE sources, it was all just part of storyline. Happy to hear he’s okay.

This could be serious. Wrestlers are like all kinds of people in that they have many of the same problems and issues that anyone else have. Many of these can be serious, especially when it comes to health situations. There are always going to be the usual issues that come from being in the ring, but those people also have to deal with problems outside of the ring as well. Unfortunately that was the case this week.
The Undisputed Era seemed to come to an end last weekend as Adam Cole attacked Kyle O’Reilly, who had been trying to help Finn Balor following the main event of Takeover: Vengeance Day. This is quite the moment for O’Reilly, who has been on the way up the roster for several months now. That might have to be put on the shelf though, as O’Reilly had a serious problem after this week’s NXT.
According to fans in attendance at this week’s NXT taping, O’Reilly suffered some sort of medical issue after this week’s show went off the air. Some of the fans have suggested that it was a seizure, but this has NOT been confirmed. According to Wrestlingnews.co, the incident took place during the second taping, which took place after the live broadcast. O’Reilly hit the steel steps and then something happened, resulting in him being stretchered out of the arena.

After hitting the stairs he was knocked out and the doctor actually had to wake him up.

Opinion: I’m not sure what is going on with O’Reilly but all that matters is that he is ok. The silver lining here is that WWE has a great medical team on hand and can get O’Reilly the kind of help that he needs. There are far more important things than wrestling going on here and hopefully we get a very positive update soon. O’Reilly is not doing well and that is the kind of thing that needs to change.
