He’s done? Retirement is a tricky situation for wrestlers as they might try to hang up their boots but can often come back one more time. While it is a bit too early to be sure, that seems like what we will be seeing again with an all time legend.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Money In The Bank 2024 Preview, Predictions And Thoughts
John Cena made a surprise appearance at this weekend’s Money In The Bank event and announced that he would be retiring from WWE. Cena said that he would be wrestling at the Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania 41, along with appearing on Monday Night Raw when it moves to Netflix in January. Cena did not say that WrestleMania would be his last match or when he would be wrestling again.
That was a big deal. Check out the announcement plus some of Cena’s career:
Opinion: This had to happen at some point but it still feels hard to fathom. Cena is one of those guys who has been around forever and is such a constant in WWE over the last 20+ years. He’s one of the few people who has been the face of the company and the idea of him hanging it up is hard to believe. It is nice to see WWE giving him a huge sendoff, and that is what we seem to be getting over the next several months.
