It’s that time of year again. WWE is about to enter one of its odd periods with “Summerslam 2017” out of the way. We still have a few months before “Survivor Series 2017” and then the Road to Wrestlemania and the company is going to want to do what it can to fight off the NFL. That could mean bringing in some new names and that’s just what they’ve done on “Smackdown Live”.

This week, Bobby Roode made his main roster debut when he defeated Aiden English. Roode lost the NXT Title to Drew McIntyre at “Takeover: Brooklyn III” after a seven months reign. He debuted with the company back at “Takeover: Dallas” in April 2016 and made his in-ring debut a few months later.

Never seen a Roode entrance? Here’s what you’re missing.

Bobby Roode's glorious entrance: NXT TakeOver: Toronto: November 19, 2016

Opinion: This isn’t the biggest shock and it’s the only way to go with Roode. There was nothing left for him to do in NXT save for the grudge match with Roderick Strong and it would be a waste of his talents to have him down there any longer. His in-ring work is solid and his character is incredibly popular so just let him go to the main roster now instead of waiting.

Do you like Roode on “Smackdown Live”? Did he have anything else to do in NXT? Let us know in the comments below.
