It’s never too early to start planning ahead. This week on Monday Night Raw, ticket information was released for this November’s Survivor Series. One of the original Big Four pay per views, Survivor Series has been running for over thirty years now and seems to be a tradition that isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. As it turns out, WWE might know what’s coming for the show nearly eight months out.
According to PWInsider.com by way of 411mania.com, WWE sent out an email to Chicago area subscribers listing a match for the November show. The match would see Team Monday Night Raw (Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman, Drew McIntyre, Finn Balor, Bobby Lashley) vs. Team SmackDown (Kevin Owens, AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Samoa Joe, Rey Mysterio) in a traditional Survivor Series elimination match. This is likely going to be heavily changed, with the Superstar Shakeup alone being enough to move some of these names around.
Maybe we can get something like this. Check out one of the segments that set up last year’s match:
Opinion: I can’t imagine most of these people will be involved in such a match on these teams, let alone even on the same show by the time we get to November. This feels like a placeholder match on the card and there’s nothing wrong with that so far out from the show. The event should be a good one as it tends to be, with the elimination matches being a unique enough experience.
