Bringing in some big names. If there’s one thing that excites wrestling fans quite a bit, it’s seeing new names being brought into the company. It makes you wonder who might be coming in for a fresh feud and wondering how far that person can get. These can lead to some major debuts and some bigger legacies, which is what WWE is looking at today.

It can lead to some top debuts.

WWE Top 10 - WWE Debuts

With Ronda Rousey being recently signed to the company, WWE has released a list of the top ten biggest signings in company history. This is a rather modern list with the oldest name only going back to 1999 and a few major omissions, but that’s to be expected in a WWE list. Here’s the full list and the original article:

10. Finn Balor
9. Big Show
8. Samoa Joe
7. Bill Goldberg
6. Eddie Guerrero
5. Sting
4. Kurt Angle
3. Ronda Rousey
2. Rey Mysterio
1. Chris Jericho

Opinion: Was there a point to this that I’m missing? I mean, signing someone like Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, the Rock or even John Cena isn’t a bigger deal than this? Is this supposed to be about signing someone and them having instant success? Like Hogan, who debuted and won the WWF World Title in less than a month? Some of these names had big impacts, but Jericho’s debut was a big moment followed by months of nothing all that memorable. I’m not sure I get the point of this, nor do I get the major omissions.

Or some memorable debuts.
