Rumored NXT Call Up In 2018

Pro Wrestling Unlimited have compiled a list of names expected to be brought up from NXT to the main roster this year through their latest video to YouTube. Here are the names that made the cut, alongside other possible names we’ve heard.

Beginning with the names listed on the video, Roderick Strong is a name familiar to many fans. He honed the character he first created in Ring of Honor while in NXT and has had many fantastic matches for the brand. While he isn’t expected to move to 205 Live, fans of the main roster are getting a glimpse of what Strong has to offer them.

Former NXT Champion Drew McIntyre will be returning to the main roster at some point after his return to the ring. He was expected to debut there in late 2017 but due to the injury he sustained at NXT ‘TakeOver: WarGames’ he was sidelined and unable to make the intended debut.

Former NXT Tag Team Champion Johnny Gargano is set for the main roster as his contractual duties are over with the developmental brand. There is the potential for the Superstar to return and face rival and former partner Tommaso Ciampa at NXT ‘TakeOver: New Orleans’ during ‘WrestleMania’ weekend, but we’d believe that would be his final match for the brand, if he hasn’t wrestled it.

The ‘Iconic Duo’ of Peyton Royce and Billie Kay are seemingly adored by every wrestling fan who has had the opportunity to witness them. Many have wondered time and time again when these two will be sent to the main roster and it seems their wishes will finally come to fruition this year.

No Way Jose isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but he certainly knows how to party. He is an excellent performer who has had tremendous success with a style of gimmick that doesn’t seem to usually work with others. This year he is expected to transition to the main roster and continue developing that character.

The Authors Of Pain have been rumored to be moving to the main roster for a good while now and there is the potential for WWE to bring them up within the coming months, likely after ‘WrestleMania’ to compete on the main roster where we are sure they will be a dominant force.

The final team listed by Pro Wrestling Unlimited is Sanity, who are fan favorites wherever they go. There is talk of the entire faction moving up to the big leagues, meaning that new audiences will witness destruction at the hands of Eric Young, Nikki Cross, Killian Dain and Alexander Wolfe.

We’d like to note that Buddy Murphy seems to have made his main roster debut on 205 Live and will be likely sticking with that brand for the foreseeable future.

Superstars not mentioned that we’ve heard rumored to be promoted include (but are not limited to) Kassius Ohno, Ember Moon, Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas, Aleister Black and Lars Sullivan.

Who would you like to see most from this list on the main roster? Who isn’t mentioned that you feel should be here?
