Bidding War? WWE And AEW Both Reportedly Interested In Signing Former World Champion

They’re interested. WWE has a very deep talent roster with world class wrestlers from all over. This allows them to offer quite the variety of matches with wrestlers from different backgrounds and in-ring styles. The company is always looking to bring in someone else and see what they can do, and now another former World Champion appears to have caught their eye.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is interested in signing former Ring Of Honor World Champion Rush. However, AEW is also interested in signing him to a long term deal and would be paying much more than a typical NXT offer. WWE would almost have to offer main roster money for Rush to sign. It is not clear when Rush’s current AEW deal expires, though it is believed to be soon.

Opinion: It makes sense that WWE would be interested in Rush, who has already been a successful star in Ring Of Honor. In addition though, he feels like a star and has this charisma that you can sense anytime he is in front of a camera. That is the kind of thing that can be invaluable. While the AEW deal is more likely, WWE certainly is a player to get anyone and Rush is no exception.
