They can happen at any time. If you’re an indy wrestling fan, you know Joey Janela. He’s known as the Bad Boy and wrestles a physical, violent style which often sees him using his own body as a weapon. Janela wrestled a hard fought match against Adam Page at All In and put in one of the better performances of the night, but he wasn’t as lucky later on in the month.
On Friday night at a Game Changer Wrestling event, Janela severely injured his knee coming off the top in a dive onto the concrete floor. His opponent, Psicosis, caught him, but Janela’s leg got caught underneath him and twisted around horribly. There is currently no word on how long Janela will be out of the ring but he did send out a tweet, saying that it doesn’t look good. There is also a video of the injury, which you can see belong along with the tweet.
Not looking good ? sorry to all the fans tonight in Asbury Park. Just got to the emergency room, let’s hope for the best… if not then I’ll come back better than ever! https://t.co/Y37niQ6pwJ

Opinion: That really does not look good and I have a bad feeling that it’s going to be a very long time before Janela can get back in the ring. His knee just completely buckled underneath him and unfortunately, you have to expect something like that happening when you wrestle a style like Janela. Hopefully it’s not as bad as it looked, though that tweet doesn’t exactly fill me with hope.
What do you think of Janela? How long do you think he’s going to be out? Let us know in the comments below.
