It’s how to keep people around. WrestleMania season is one of the only times of the year where you can see all kinds of changes taking place in a hurry. This can include major angles and developments, but also a lot of people make their debuts as well. You might see someone showing up for the first time or making their debuts on the main roster. That was the case this year, but not in the traditional sense.

One of the bigger surprises at this year’s WrestleMania was Austin Theory teaming with Angel Garza to challenge the Street Profits for the Raw Tag Team Titles. While Theory and Garza came up short, Theory is still sticking around on the main roster for the time being, including several appearances on this week’s Monday Night Raw. It is quite the odd situation given that Theory only made his NXT debut in December, so why is he sticking around on the main roster?

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, Theory is staying on the main roster at Paul Heyman’s decision. While Theory was originally seen as just a short term replacement for the injured Andrade, he has impressed enough to stay on the main roster. Theory has been paired with Zelina Vega, Andrade and Garza as a new heel stable, who were all wrestled singles matches on this week’s Monday Night Raw.

Theory has done some big stuff in a short time. Check out some of his moments on the main roster:

Opinion: Theory is someone who has all of the tools that you need to be a top star but I’m not sure if he is ready for this level yet. There is such a big gap between wrestling in Evolve just a year ago and being on Monday Night Raw every week now and I’m not entirely sold on Theory being able to make that leap. He hasn’t been a disaster by any means, but that is a huge move to make in just a few months.

What do you think of Theory so far? Will he stay on the main roster? Let us know in the comments below.
