The gigs just keep on coming. I don’t think it’s any secret that John Cena has basically left WWE full time and is now an actor/entertainer in various forms. Cena regularly appears in film and on television, which means he has very little time to devote to WWE. Now though, it seems that he’s going to have something new to take up even more of his time, though we’ll be seeing him more regularly.
According to Variety.com, Cena will be hosting a revival of the game show Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader on Nickelodeon. There is no word on when the new series will be airing. Cena replaces Jeff Foxworthy, who hosted both the original run of the show as well as its original revival. He also has experience with the network, having hosted the Kids Choice Awards on Nickelodeon in 2017 and 2018.
Cena has put in some time there before. Check out him working on a commercial for the Awards:
Opinion: Good for him. I don’t think anyone is going to seriously think about Cena returning to the ring full time anytime soon so it’s cool to see him get to do something like this. Maybe WWE will get some more attention as mainstream companies look for the next Cena. Either way, it’s good to see Cena get this kind of attention as he’s long since deserved this success.
