How one comes in and the other goes out. Last night’s Monday Night Raw featured several major moments, with one of the biggest being Kurt Angle’s announcement of his upcoming retirement match at WrestleMania 35. The match will mark the end of an incredible career that saw Angle go from being one of the most successful amateur wrestlers of all time to one of the best professionals ever. Being Angle’s final opponent would be an honor and someone seems interested.
While it might mean nothing as he is known to have some odd posts, John Cena has posted a picture of Angle from his amateur wrestling days on his Instagram page. The two feuded extensively over the years with Angle facing Cena in Cena’s first match on the main roster. There is no way of telling if Cena is suggesting that he wants the match or just paying tribute to Angle, though the match is a possibility as Cena has nothing scheduled for WrestleMania 35.
I think you know what this has to be. Check out Cena’s debut in a great match:
Opinion: Works for me. At the moment, Angle is going to need someone to help get him through the match due to his age and general deterioration, which would make Cena one of the best possible options. I’m hoping this is the direction they take, as the idea of Baron Corbin being the one that gets the spot makes my head hurt. Angle deserves better, and Cena would fit that mold.
Do you like the idea of Cena vs. Angle? Who else should get the spot? Let us know in the comments below.
