WWE has announced that Backlash 2024 will take place at the LDLC Arena in Lyon-Decines, France on May 4. This will be the first Premium Live Event to be held in France, though WWE has regularly held events there over the years. SmackDown will be held the night before in the same arena. This will be the third international Premium Live Event in 2024, along with Elimination Chamber in Perth, Australia and Bash In Berlin in Berlin, Germany.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that WWE has been doing more and more often lately and it makes for some interesting situations. At the very least, it makes WWE feel that much bigger. Rather than just being at the same places in the United Stats, WWE is going to Germany, France and Australia in the same year. That alone makes the shows feel big, and if they wind up being good, things will be even better.
