Holiday special. WWE produces quite a bit of television every week with a variety of regular series. That can create more than a few issues, as you never know what kinds of problems could pop up on any given week. Occasionally you can see these problems coming in advance, such as a holiday making things a bit more complicated. WWE saw one coming next week and did something in advance.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: No More? WWE Seems To Ignore Hall Of Famer On Monday Night Raw

WWE taped the November 21 edition of NXT in advance due to next week’s Thanksgiving holiday. The show had matches announced in advance on this week’s show. Here are the results from this week’s tapings, courtesy of PWInsider.com:

* Xia Li attacked Lyra Valkyria while she was making her entrance, and Lyra had to be helped to the back.

* Los Lotharios def. Malik Blade and Edris Enofe

* Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifying Match: Josh Briggs def. Carmelo Hayes after Lexis King distracted Hayes.

* Wes Lee cut a promo about wanting the North American Championship back. Dominik came out and implied that there will be a match next week with the winner facing him at NXT Deadline for the title.

* Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifying Match: Blair Davenport def. Thea Hail

* Eddy Thorpe def. Charlie Dempsey

* NXT Heritage Cup Match: Noam Dar def. Chad Gable

* NXT Women’s Championship Match: Lyra Valkyria def. Xia Li

The report also noted that there were no backstage segments shown to the live crowd, though they will likely be added in to next week’s broadcast.

They’re coming off a good one. Check out some of this week’s NXT:

Opinion: This is something that WWE has to do every so often and it makes a lot of sense. If nothing else, there is little reason to ask wrestlers to work two days before Thanksgiving when something can be done in advance. If nothing else, NXT has been doing well enough in recent weeks and hopefully they can continue their roll despite not being live for a change next week.
