That’s never good. All wrestlers are going to get injured at some point in their career but not all injuries are created equally. One of the most important questions is how long someone is going to be on the shelf, as it could be anywhere from a few weeks to the end of their careers. Unfortunately another current star is injured and he might not be around for a little while.
Since its inception, AEW has put an emphasis on its tag team division. The company has treated tag team wrestling as one of its focal points and built one of the deepest tag team divisions in a very long time. The idea has paid off as well as the Tag Team Titles have felt like an important part of the company and have headlined more than a few shows. Now the division is taking a bit of a hit due to an injury.
According to PWInsider.com, the Acclaimed’s Anthony Bowens has undergone knee surgery which will put him out of action for about 6-8 weeks. Bowens has commented on the report, saying that he has basically been wrestling on one leg for the last few months. He said that he hopes fans will get to know the team a bit more out of the ring during his absence.
What you’ve seen the last 4 months was me basically wrestling on 1 leg. I can’t wait to get back full throttle. Don’t worry though, there’s still plenty of Acclaimed content coming your way each week. I’m excited for everyone to get to know us/me a little better outside the ring. https://t.co/uUlKLMwkWN

They did pretty well with the injury. Check out what the Acclaimed did so far:
Opinion: That’s a rough one to hear but thankfully the recovery time is not that long. The high end is only about two months so hopefully Bowens can be back and better than ever in a hurry. It’s too bad that he has been hurt this long but being able to do so well for so long now is rather impressive. This should be something that can be cleared up in a hurry and if that is the case, everything should be fine.
