Change it up. There have been several major stories in wrestling this year, though the biggest of them all has been Vince McMahon stepping away from WWE. This came after a lawsuit was filed by Janel Grant, a former WWE employee, who accused McMahon and others of sexual assault among other issues. The case has yet to go to trial, but a major twist took place this week.

In addition to McMahon, former WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis was also named in the suit. Lauranaitis had previously responded, saying that he was a victim of McMahon as well. However, this week, Laurinaitis’ attorney Edward M. Brennan revealed that Laurinaitis has filed a motion to join with McMahon in requesting that the case be decided in private arbitration. No court date has been set.

Opinion: This is a situation where it seems money talked. It is rather odd to see Laurinaitis changing his story before everything starts, but odder things have happened in cases before. Hopefully everything winds up workout out well, as if the allegations from Grant are true, she deserves quite a bit of compensation as she is alleging some incredibly serious things. We’ll have to see where this goes, but things are starting to be set up.
