It’s a different world. We are in the midst of several changes in WWE, with some things taking place that you would never believe possible just a few years ago. This comes as Vince McMahon has stepped away from the company, meaning all kinds of things that McMahon ordered over the years were being reset. Now perhaps the biggest of them all has been changed.
One of WWE’s most controversial statements has been to avoid referring to themselves as a wrestling company. However, during a recent trend of companies using one word on Twitter to describe what they do, WWE has referred to themselves as “wrestling”. This comes as WWE has been using terms such as “wrestling” and “wrestlers” during promos and interviews. It is not clear how many other changes this could cause in WWE.

Opinion: This is one of those changes that is quite interesting to see after so long in one direction. WWE has been a wrestling promotion for so long but that does not mean they refer to themselves as such. While changing the designation does not mean much, it does show just how far things have changed behind the scenes. McMahon would never say something like this, but McMahon is gone now and this is even more proof.
