What was the #1 Moment in “Monday Night Raw” History?

There’s only one number one. Next Monday, “Monday Night Raw” will celebrate its 25th anniversary and you know that means a big night of looking back at history. One of the most popular things to do is look at some of the greatest moments the show has ever had, which means that something has to be picked as the top moment ever.

WWE has released a countdown special looking at the top twenty five moments in the history of “Monday Night Raw”. These moments were chosen by WWE but their order was selected via a fan poll. The special was released tonight with Steve Austin driving a beer truck into the arena at the top of the list. This was the same moment chosen as the greatest moment in “Monday Night Raw” history at the tenth anniversary special as well. The top five was:

5. Steve Austin Stuns Vince McMahon for the First Time
4. Chris Jericho Debuts
3. Occupy Raw
2. CM Punk’s Pipe Bomb
1. Steve Austin and the Beer Truck

Opinion: I have the same reaction I have for this moment as I did when it was #1 fifteen years ago: is that really the best moment in the show’s history? Sure it was a big deal, but it’s better than everything else? Not Rock challenging Hulk Hogan or This Is Your Life Rock (which did make the top twenty five)? It’s certainly good, but it seems that there should be something bigger.
