We’ll wrap it up here. If there’s one thing Impact Wrestling is criticized for (and there are a lot of things on that list), one of them is its lack of pay per view events. That problem has been at least somewhat addressed with the addition of a third pay per view to the calendar, but you need TV to help set that show up. On Monday night, Impact Wrestling wrapped up its sixth night of television tapings by heading back to the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida.

These tapings will take them up to the “Redemption 2018” pay per view on April 29, which will be the company’s first regular pay per view since “Bound For Glory 2017” back in October. There were several matches taped tonight with some matches and returns taking place. Here are the results, courtesy of Jacob Cohen by way of 411mania.com:

* GWN Exclusive Match: Alisha Edwards defeated Laurel Van Ness.

* Eli Drake defeated Moose in a Case vs. Case match. OVE ran in mid-match to attack Moose. Eddie Edwards made the save, but Eli Drake hit Moose with a baseball bat. Moose kicked out, then Drake hit his finisher for the winto get both the World & Tag Title shot cases.

Josh Matthews and Matt Sydal came out. It was announced that Josh Matthews will wrestle Petey Williams at the taping. Mathews said Sydal isn’t World Champion now because of Williams, and worst of all Matthews isn’t the Grand Champion because of Williams.

* Petey Williams defeated Josh Matthews by DQ when Sydal interfered. Petey received a beatdown after the match.

* Fallah Bahh, Richard Justice, & Tyrus defeated KM & The Cult of Lee.

* No DQ Match: Rosemary defeated Taya Valkyrie with a piledriver off the top rope through a table.

Eli Drake came out and talked about how he got the Tag Team Title shot case but now has the World Title shot case as well. He said that since Aries is busy with Alberto El Patron at Redemption, he might as well use the Tag Title Case. That brought out LAX. Konnan asked who Eli Drake’s tag team partner is, and it turned out to be Scott Steiner. Steiner confirmed that Redemption will occur in Toronto on April 22nd.

* Moose defeated Sami Callihan by DQ when Sami used a baseball bat. oVe beat down Moose and Eddie Edwards tried to make the save but also got beat down with the baseball bat, Alisha Edwards came out and oVe cornered her. The lilghts went out and when they came back, Tommy Dreamer made the save. A House of Hardcore match was announced for Redemption pitting OVE against Dreamer, Edwards, and Moose.

* Braxton Sutter & Su Yung defeated Fallah Bahh & Kiera Hogan. Allie and Su Yung got intoa tear-apart brawl after the match.

* Rohit Raju defeated Sugar Dunkerton on Xplosion

* Kongo Kong faced Johnny Impact and ramed him into the steps for what appeared to be a DQ win for Impact.
KM came out and talked about how he is an innovator and was going to innovate a one of a kind match. Brian Cage came out to answer the KM Open Challenge. KM said he wasn’t talking about Cage, because they’re boys. KM tried to escape the ring but was stopped by Cage, who defeated KM.

* Alberto El Patron, Matt Sydal, and OVE defeated Moose, Tommy Dreamer, Petey Williams, and Austin Aries. Dave Crist, who was not wrestling in the match, was ejected from ringside and sent backstage. Sydal pinned Williams with some help from Josh Matthews.

* Xplosion Match: Kiera Hogan defeated Laurel Van Ness.

* Xplosion Match: El Hijo Del Fantasma defeats Homicide.

Opinion: Maybe it’s just me, but it might not be a great idea to have Dreamer and Steiner, who are over 100 years old combined, getting these spots over some of the younger guys on the roster. Dreamer is a little more understandable due to having his House of Hardcore promotion but I’m really not seeing the point in having 55 year old Steiner on the show, especially in a title match.
