2019 Royal Rumble winner Seth Rollins is out with an injury. Given the landscape of WWE right now, it couldn’t come at a worse time for “The Architect” and the company itself as the road to WrestleMania 35 is truly in full swing.
During the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer went into detail about the exact injury the former WWE Intercontinental Champion is going through.
According to the journalist, Rollins is sidelined with a bad back. He adds that the injury is only minor and does not appear to have ramifications that would impact his WrestleMania 35 match against Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship.
That said, Meltzer speculates that WWE will keep Rollins out of action at the next PPV. Additionally, it is being theorized that WWE will have Rollins on television but will not get physical.
Here is what Meltzer had to say:
“Okay, so Seth Rollins has a bad back. He was off TV tonight. They’re gonna rest him up. I was told it’s not WrestleMania threatening. He may not be on the next pay-per-view, that one I don’t know because the pay-per-view is only in a couple of weeks.”
The latest instance of Rollins being in action as it pertains to television is when he was attacked by Lesnar during RAW last week. You can check those clips out below, which see the Champion hit the challenger with six F-5s.
As the injury is minor, it is expected Rollins will be back to good health in time for WrestleMania. However, if Rollins is somehow unable to do so, it is possible WWE will work on a back-up plan.

I do think Rollins will be back in time. I’m excited to see what does happen at WrestleMania, and I believe it will be memorable.
