2019 NXT Halftime Heat Result: Who Won The Big 6-Man Tag Match?

For those of you who are football fans, but were not interested in hearing Maroon 5, WWE had a solution to you. During halftime of Super Bowl 53, the company featured a “Halftime Heat” 6-man Tag Team match between Aleister Black, Ricochet & Velveteen Dream against NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa, newly crowned NXT North American Champion Johnny Gargano & Adam Cole.

The match was broadcast on various platforms, such as the WWE Network, WWE.com, the WWE App, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

But who would come out victorious?

After a fan-filled contest, Black, Ricochet and Velveteen Dream would come out on top.

The match came about after a big brawl took place after the recent NXT Takeover: Phoenix pay-per-view. You can see a clip of that brawl below:

Editor’s Opinion:

This was a fun way to entertain the fans during halftime. I’m sure that many wrestling fans are not into the mainstream artists that the NFL usually gets to perform at the Super Bowl, and having a special showcase for NXT is a great way to provide a way to pass the time during the big game!
