A Texan Indie Wrestler Has Been Arrested for the Murder of His Girlfriend

As first reported by ABC-13, Texan indie wrestler Jasper Davis has been charged and arrested with murder.

Davis, 29, reportedly got into a fight with his girlfriend Jennifer Nicole Mamo after they attended a party. Authorities say that Davis claims the fight occurred after Mamo accused him of flirting with another woman, before reaching for his gun which accidentally went off and killed her.

Prosecutors continue to allege that after the murder, Davis dumped Mamo’s body in a nearby creek at which point his car got stuck. He called a friend for help, who immediately called 911 after seeing the body. Authorities would go to Mamo’s house to find her 7 month-old child there. They also believe this location to be where the murder took place. The prosecutors continue to allege Davis then called his father – who helped Davis get the car unstuck – but apparently had no idea about the body.

Davis made his wrestling debut in 2008 and frequented a number of independent wrestling promotions around Texas. This included Booker T‘s Reality of Wrestling, where he captured the ROW Championship in 2013 and the ROW Tag Team Championship just earlier this year.

It is unknown how long Davis will be sentenced for, but if more information does come out, Wrestling Rumors will be sure to update you.
