Kenny Omega Explains Why He Is Hesitant to Go to WWE

Sports Illustrated posted an interview with NJPW superstar Kenny Omega who explained why he is hesitant to go to WWE, referencing The New Day as a reason.

There is no denying the friendship between The New Day and Kenny Omega. The former IWGP United States Champion is one of Xavier Woods’ best friends and the two occasionally make funny skits together that always send the professional wrestling internet fandom into chaos.

Omega explained that New Day are some of his favorite performers to watch in WWE. Despite this, The New Day appear to always be in the same spot, which worries him.

On the three Superstars of The New Day, Omega explained what he thinks of each of them individually.

“When I see Big E, I clearly see someone who could be world champion. The guy is on another level. Kofi is one of those guys who is good in all situations and can challenge for all titles, and Xavier is another great athlete who is talented in the ring and confident on the mic.”

He explained that it is reasons like how The New Day are being booked that really make him question whether going to WWE is worth it.

“It’s things like that that really make me think twice about what I would be getting into if eventually, I do go there.”

Omega and The Young Bucks recreated The New Day’s entrance for New Japan Pro Wrestling a while back and it is absolutely hilarious. You can check it out below.
