This past week, it was announced former “Too Cool” member Rikishi will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2015. It was then revealed another “living legend” is likely to join him.
Now, it appears WWE may be reaching outside the western hemisphere for another name.
Per a report from Tokyo Sports, a Japanese outlet, WWE is considering inducting Japanese wrestling legend Genichiro Tenryu into the Hall this upcoming year. Tenryu appeared at WrestleMania VII, tagging with Koji Kitao to defeat Demolition.
The 65-year-old started his career as a sumo wrestler at age 13, and flourished into one of professional wrestling’s finest. He won multiple NWA championships, flourishing in both singles and tag team competition. He won the Tokyo Sports “Match of the Year” award eight times, the most recent coming at age 49.
Tenryu has also been praised by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, winning multiple five-star matches, and won m”Match of the Year” in 2001 with Keiji Mutoh.
Ray Stevens is expected to also find himself in the Hall. “Macho Man” Randy Savage and Arnold Schwarzenegger have already been confirmed.

Looking like it could be a stacked house this year in the Hall of Fame.
