On Feb. 9, 2015, WWE aired another edition of its flagship program, “Monday Night Raw,” in Columbus, Ohio. The event emanated from the Schottenstein Center, located on the campus of Ohio State University. With “Monday Night Raw” in the Columbus area, WWE took the time to announce the next WWE event that will come to “Buckeye City.”

On June 14, Columbus, Ohio will host the 2015 “Money in the Bank” pay-per-view. The event will take place from the Nationwide Arena, which is home to the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League. The year’s “Money in the Bank” will be the sole pay-per-view in June and the third such event following WrestleMania 31.

The 2014 “Money in the Bank” event, which was broadcast from Boston, saw Seth Rollins become the holder of the Money in the Bank briefcase. Rollins is still currently holding the briefcase, and will likely continue to heading into WrestleMania 31. Additionally, last year’s event saw John Cena win the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship in an eight-man Ladder match.

Editor’s Note

Columbus isn’t too bad of a wrestling crowd, so this should make for a good environment for one of WWE’s continually solid pay-per-view events of the year. The sole Money in the Bank Ladder match should be interesting, as I think there are a lot of candidates to grab a hold of the briefcase.
