Wrestling Rumors reported last week there had been some discussions as to when “WWE 2K15,” WWE’s newest company video game, would be released. At the time, rumors had flown around the game would be released in promotion of WrestleMania 31, making the actual release in 2015.

New details, however, show the game set for an Oct. 28, 2014 release date.

Amazon.com has officially put up the description for the game, which will be available on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. In the advertisement, it lists the October date as the official release date across all platforms.

The synopsis is as followed:

“The long awaited next generation of WWE games has arrived. Bring all the action, Superstars and entertainment of WWE to your home with WWE 2K15, which will deliver the most realistic WWE gaming experience to-date.”

The game will be the first one released under the next generation consoles, and the second under the “2K” moniker.

Editor’s Note:

Looks like the game will be used to push during what is normally a very low period in the year for WWE. The Autumn season brings some brutal programming, so at least the video game will be there.
