In the early hours of Tuesday morning, WWE made the announcement fans have speculated for years: WrestleMania is coming to Dallas.
The official WWE WrestleMania Twitter account posted the following at 1:33 a.m. ET Tuesday:
BREAKING NEWS: @ATTStadium to host @WWE @WrestleMania 32 on April 3, 2016. Details: http://t.co/IFLLf9gCdL pic.twitter.com/y6DtPZA0aD

AT&T Stadium, often referred to by the media and fans as “Jerry World” after Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, is among the modern marvels of the 21st century and has been a location WWE has desired to hit for some time. It was reported last year, unofficially, WWE had locked down the venue for the big event in 2016, but now, it is confirmed.
The stadium, which fits around 80,000 fans for football, can be expanded to fit more than 100,000 people if need be. The 2010 NBA All-Star Game was held at the building, and eclipsed 108,000 spectators for the exhibition game. It is likely a new WrestleMania attendance record will be set at the venue.
One of the most common rumors surrounding WrestleMania 32 is the presence of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. The WWE Hall of Famer has been rumored for a WWE comeback for some time, and even teased a potential match at the event. It is unknown, however, if the Texas-native would actually lace up the boots one last time.
It is also speculated The Undertaker, another man with Texas roots, may have some sort of involvement with WrestleMania 32, be it a WWE Hall of Fame induction or even a match with someone like Sting.
WrestleMania 31 will be held in Santa Clara, California at Levi’s Stadium March 29.

It was the worst kept secret in sports-entertainment, but it truly will be a spectacle.
