As seen on “Monday Night Raw,” Mick Foley returned to WWE this week after a long layoff of not appearing on television. His status with the company had been up in the air for some time, but it appears he is on good terms for the time being, as he appeared to help hype the Dean Ambrose/Seth Rollins Hell in a Cell match for this Sunday’s pay-per-view.
Foley noted on Twitter the return was planned as a surprise.
Two weeks ago, I said I no longer meant enough in @WWE to be a surprise guest on #RAW like @TheRock. Thanks for proving me wrong!

With that being said, it appears Foley surprised even his family, who routinely watch WWE. His daughter Noelle commented on her father’s appearance.
WHAT!!!!!! DAD?!?!?! HE DIDNT TELL ME!!!!! I JUST JUMPED UP AND STARTED SCREAMING!!!!! — Noelle Foley (@NoelleFoley) October 21, 2014
My heart is still beating so fast!!!!! That was the single best wrestling surprise of my entire life!!! AHHHHHH!!! I’m still freaking out!!!

@realmickfoley YOU TOLD ME YOU WERE IN LOS ANGELES TODAY!!! YOU SNEAKY SUN OF GUN!!! — Noelle Foley (@NoelleFoley) October 21, 2014
As reported last week, Noelle is actually training to become a professional wrestler, with Foley assisting her.
Mick, on the other hand, has been a big supporter of Ambrose and Rollins in the past. Foley had been scheduled to work a retirement match for “SummerSlam 2012” with Ambrose, though plans for that feud eventually fell through. Not long ago though, he took time to note he was flattered by the “Lunatic Rage” using his finisher.
Editor’s Note
It was an awesome moment all around, and it’s sweet to see even his own flesh and blood was surprised.
