During this summer’s New York City “Impact Wrestling” television tapings, TNA saw the return of former X Division Champion Homicide. The 37-year-old had largely been absent from the company since 2010, sans a few one-off matches in between.

In an update provided by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it appears Homicide, real name Nelson Erazo, may be sticking around for a little while longer.

The report states the company was very pleased with the reactions he got while in his home state of New York, and decided to write him into a feud with Samoa Joe for the X Division title. Originally, there were no plans to use him past the initial tapings, but the company saw value in bringing him back due to the positive response.

Unfortunately for him, he has been dealing with lingering injuries with his arm, and he missed the recent tapings in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. There has been no update provided as to whether he will be sticking around much longer.

Editor’s Note

Some of his matches from back in the day were among TNA’s best. He’s a heck of a performer who has been all around.
