TNA has had multiple endeavors on the international level, including “Ring Ka King” in India. But it appears to be its English endeavor that will be brought back to life.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, TNA is considering bringing back “TNA Wrestling: British Bootcamp,” a reality show based in England that documents several wrestlers attempting to obtain a TNA contract. It notes the company is currently in negotiations with Sky TV in order to potentially bring the show back.
Also, the report says TNA mainstay Jeremy Borash was recently in England to discuss potential talent interest in the show. He reportedly scouted talents at Revolution Pro and Preston City Wrestling to see if they would be willing to participate in a second season for the program.
James Curtin, also known as “Rockstar Spud,” was named the winner of the first season of the show. As a result, he received a TNA contract and made the main roster. Much like “WWE Tough Enough,” TNA professionals will also mentor those going out for the roster spot.
Editor’s Note
It’s good for international appeal, but should this be TNA’s priority at the moment? Hopefully, it could yield a superstar. One never knows. I will say, I like only focusing on a few wrestlers rather than what “Tough Enough” has done in the past.
