The impossible became possible when Sting set foot in a WWE ring on Nov. 23 at the “Survivor Series” pay-per-view. Since then, “The Icon” has not appeared on WWE programming, despite reports of him signing a performer’s contract with the company.  There were even rumors of Sting wrestling for WWE on another pay-per-view besides WrestleMania 31.

However, it now appears that Sting will not be on WWE programming for the time being. According to a report from Mike Riker of Busted Open Radio,” Sting has indeed signed a performer’s contract with WWE. Though, his contract calls for him to make six appearances, with “Survivor Series” being one of them.

In addition to his appearance at “Survivor Series,” Sting will be performing at WrestleMania 31, presumably the last date on his contract. This leaves just four dates left for the “Stinger” through WrestleMania 31. There is no word as to what four shows Sting will be appearing on, but with just four dates left, it would seem unlikely that Sting will appear or wrestle at another pay-per-view. The safest bet would be Sting appearing on four episodes of “Monday Night Raw” as WrestleMania 31 draws closer.

Editor’s Note

Damn, that’s a shame. Just five more appearances left? WWE really dropped the ball by having Sting debut, only to be off WWE programming for another month or two.
