Destination America announced Wednesday it had signed Ring Of Honor to a national television deal that will see “ROH TV” be broadcast every Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET. This will effectively lead-in to “IMPACT WRESTLING,” the TNA product that has seen much controversy as of late.
After reports surfaced last week “IMPACT” may be on its last leg with the channel, many officials within TNA were quick to note the reports were not true. However, talent say they were assured initially everything was fine with the company and the station, but had not been kept in the loop regarding Ring Of Honor signing on. It was said the company was unaware of a potential deal with the independent organization.
To calm nerves, TNA president Dixie Carter held a conference call this afternoon with all TNA talent. According to PWTorch, Carter started the call with a 10-minute statement regarding the company’s standing. She assured them Destination America was committed to planning for “IMPACT’s” future, and planning for the 2016 television season had begun. Wade Keller notes Carter said the company was in “good standing” with the channel moving forward.
It was also recently reported Destination America had an opt-out clause with “IMPACT” in September, meaning it could pull the plug then. This was apparently brought up as Carter fielded questions from talent, one she said she could not answer for legal reasons but noted most TV deals come with an opt-out clause. She also addressed the topic of late-pay.
A source with knowledge of the situation tells Wrestling Rumors many TNA talent were unhappy with the conference call, feeling they didn’t get the answers they were looking for. However, multiple contracted wrestlers, such as Matt Hardy took to Twitter following the call and promoted Ring Of Honor.

Wrestling Rumors requested comment from TNA officials, but had yet to receive an answer as of press time.
Both Ring Of Honor and Destination America gave comment earlier in the day, promoting the new deal.
