PWInsider is reporting that Rob Van Dam is in fact under contract with WWE, and that any reports of him being unemployed are incorrect.

The report states that Van Dam and Triple H worked out an agreement where Van Dam would work a 90 day schedule, followed by time off to allow him to focus on his numerous other projects. He can also appear for other wrestling companies, just not on any television tapings.

Both sides are said to be on good terms, and Vince McMahon signed off on the provisions of the deal. Van Dam is likely to return around Royal Rumble time, and work through WrestleMania and possibly into Extreme Rules.
