WWE Superstar Chris Jericho has been wrestling as part of the WWE European tour this past week, to help add some extra star power to the WWE roster. But according to Jericho, the star power may already be there.

Following a match in Glasgow, Jericho took to the microphone and paid some major respect towards his tag team partner for the evening, Dean Ambrose. He had the following:

“Every couple years, the powers that be will say, ‘this is the new guy, this is the new face, this is the new chosen one.’ I’m saying this to you because I mean it, not because I was told to say it. I believe the next big thing in the WWE is this man right here, Dean Ambrose.”

The crowd erupted with a major applause for the former Shield member at that point.

Jericho continued:

“I don’t know if I’m going to be here in 15 years, but I guarantee this guy will be, because “The Lunatic Fringe” is going to take over the WWE for many years to come. And that’s the truth, or else I would never, ever say that again!”

The two would then air guitar together and embrace as the show came to a close with the crowd going crazy for the two stars. This is not the first time Jericho has praised Ambrose, as he has called him the future “face” of the company in the past.

Editor’s Note

Very cool passing of the torch kind of moment here. Jericho clearly believes in Ambrose, and why shouldn’t he?
