Ever since Luke Harper and Erick Rowan reunited as a tag team, many in WWE have been put on notice. The two have decimated opponents, utilizing innovative tag team maneuvers to win in emphatic style.
The move the two are using as their finisher is referred to as “The Way,” with it now becoming a mantra of sorts with the team. As many will note, however, the move is essentially a version of the “Dudley Death Drop,” more popularly known as “3D.” This move was made famous by the Dudley Boyz during their time in ECW, WWE and TNA.
Bully Ray, known in WWE as Bubba Ray Dudley, took to Twitter following “RAW” to call out the company for allowing the pair to use the move:

Unexpectedly, Harper actually took to his Twitter to respond. While most of his tweets are often cryptic and general, this one was specifically addressed at Ray and his “half-brother:”

Ray is never one to stand down from a challenge, and graciously accepted, taking yet another shot at WWE in the process:

It is unknown if this is the former Tag Team Champion being genuinely upset at WWE for allowing them to have the move, or rather if the seeds are being planted for a match between the two entities. It has been rumored for some time the Dudley Boyz were being pursued by WWE for a reunion, with the pair possibly even working with NXT in the future.
Many will recall, Ray made his return to WWE television under the Bubba Ray name at the 2015 “Royal Rumble” pay-per-view, when he entered as No. 3. He would hit “3D” alongside R-Truth, acting as D-Von. After he was left alone in the ring by eliminating The Miz and Truth, he would square-off with none other than Luke Harper.

Make it happen. “SummerSlam.” Let’s do it.
