John Cena sent out a Tweet Friday night inviting legendary rap artist Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter to WrestleMania in order to “handle business” during his WWE Championship match with the Rock.
Dear Mr. @s_c_ kindly asking permission to come to NY/NJ on 4/7/13 to handle some bizz with @therock #redemption #RTime=NOW

WWE is certainly no stranger to musical guests at their April classic, and neither is the challenger John Cena. Last year at WrestleMania 28, Cena brought along rapper Machine Gun Kelly to perform his hit “Invincible”, while the Rock had local (and global) icon Flo Rida perform “Good Feeling” and “Wild Ones”.
It will be interesting to see if WWE or Cena is able to secure Jay-Z for WrestleMania this year. He is currently scheduled to begin a summer tour with Justin Timberlake, but their first event isn’t until July. The current theme song being used for the Rock/Cena video packages is “Letters from the Sky” by alt-rock group Civil Twilight.
