Major Changes Announced for TNA’s X-Division

TNA President Dixie Carter announced last week via Twitter that the company would be making some major changes to their X-Division. During this week’s episode of Impact Wrestling, it was announced that all future X-Division championship matches would be fought with a minimum of three men. The wrestler to score the pinfall or submission would obvious retain or win the title. However, another new rule going into effect states that whoever takes the pinfall loss or submits would be removed from contention to the X-Division championship, and would have to work his way back into the picture.

Champion Kenny King immediately defended the belt with the new rules in play, in a 3-way match against Zema Ion and Sonjay Dutt. King won the match via pinfall, retaining the title, with Sonjay taking the pinfall.
