Ric Flair made an appearance in Charlotte, North Carolina last Monday to raise the victorious hand of Sasha Banks after she successfully captured the Raw Women’s Championship. It’s no surprise to see the Nature Boy with Raw in Flair country, but it seems like this appearance was not a one-time deal.
According to PWInsider, the appearance was a last-minute addition to the show that was finalized only after Ric and WWE came to terms on a new contract. Reportedly, Flair is now set to be a regular member of the Raw cast.

In-ring action is almost certainly out of the question for the two-time Hall of Famer, but he could certainly play a part in a variety of storylines. Flair spent months earlier this year as a manager for his daughter, Charlotte, until the champ decided she didn’t need her dad around anymore.
One of the more interesting possibilities for Flair’s upcoming involvement would be as a cross-brand foil for John Cena, who may seek to challenge the Nature Boy’s record of sixteen world championship reigns. Such a quest would make an excellent story for a WrestleMania contest, with Flair either in Cena’s corner as a face or in the opponent’s corner as a heel.
